Lenham’s started
At the age of 5 years old while I was resting with my parents in bed they were watching movies and I liked to colour while they were watching the movie, that day my dad gives me a notebook and this colouring book had a drawing of Bugs Bunny and he tells me start copying it, he explained to me what was copying; I had never copied a drawing better said said: “I had never drawn in my life” and when I start copying it after a couple of hours I see that it is exactly the same drawing of Bugs Bunny that was in my colouring book, my parents were surprised because I was good at drawing and they didn’t believe what had happened, I continued drawing and I even remember that in primary school my teachers wrote notes in my notebooks addressed to my parents telling them not to draw me after a couple of notes my mum decided to go to the teacher and told her that they didn’t help me, that those drawings were made by me. Of course the teacher doubted and made me draw in front of her, when she saw that I could draw at such a young age, she apologised.
At the age of 10, I remember looking at the designs on my sweatshirts and always wondering how they could put them on clothes, I imagined that only the big companies could do it. I continued to draw for several years and combined that passion with my love of the mountains, snow and cold weather. I must admit that I fell in love with snow long before I had the opportunity to physically touch it, I was overwhelmed by the beauty and purity that it transmits, it is a tranquility that I can’t explain, I simply never wanted to be away from the snow and its mountains again.
I became obsessed with creating something that included my passions for nature, especially snow. At the time I was in my teens and I really liked aesthetic street style and I remember that buying snow clothing in Mexico has always been very expensive and there are no fun designs ( to be honest), it’s worth mentioning that it doesn’t snow in my country to practice snowboarding, skiing or just riding snowmobiles, so due to that lack of products outdoor activities I came up with the idea of starting my own clothing brand officially, I was enthusiastic about the idea of creating colourful clothes representing the joy and creativity that characterises us Mexicans and to be within reach of those who share the taste for these sports or activities have more options in addition to the brands that are already well known but above all, I wanted practical and functional clothing protecting us from weather changes depending on the activity we do.
